Music Department i From Perry Como's Dream along with me. lim on my way to a star . . to Rise Steyr-n's singing O Holy Night. we are surrounded on all sides by music in one form or another. Being as important in our lives as it is. it has a delinite and varied place in our education. Enjoying music and participating in it depends only on your enthusiasm for it. as is shown in freshman general music. From drilling on monotonous scales to approach- ing the semi-classical. the range and talents of the A Cappella Choir. under the direction of Richard Jaeger. are seemingly endless. Choralairs are the crown prince of song at Jeff whose members graduate into the ruling class. the A Cappella Choir. Approximately fifty females resounding enthusias- tically in song are the Girls' Clee Club. also under the direction of Mr. Jaeger. A talented. marching group of approximately one hundred mixed musicians directed by Richard Bowles travels under the appropriate title of the Broncho Band. Mr. Bowles also directs Varsity Band which plays for the basketball games. The other instrumental group at Jelf directed by Mr. Bowles is the orchestra which plays for the several shows put on during the year. Band members put away the in-trumenb into their respective cubby holes for another day. mln A . 1
