President, Sally Owens Vice President, Rita Van Dame Secretary-Treasurer, Sandy Smack l'1lyfr' .J l Senior Election Every year, during October, a Senior Election is held at Jett. Big campaigns are put on with speeches and posters playing a big part. This year, the boys nominated Floyd Munson, Joe Heath, and Don Boveri to run on their ticket while the girls nominated Sally Owens, Rita Van Dame, and Sandy Smock to run for class officers. The girls' ticket won for the first time in the history of Jefferson High School. On the day after the election the boys wore skirts, causing a great deal of excitement and enter- tainment. Many campaign promises were made by the girls. Were they fulfilled? Boys' Candidates: President, Floyd Mun- son, Vice President, Joe Heath, Campaign Manager, John Courter. Girls' Candidates: President, Sally Owens, Vice President, Rita Van Dame, Secretary- Treasurer, Sandy Smock, Campaign Man- ager, Mary .la Coling. Speaking: Bill McGee, Chairman of the Student Council Election Committee.
