Wfe were excused for the rest of the day. December also was the month of the holiday tour- neys, where jet? pulled an upset over New Albany, then lost to South Bend Central. December also was the month of the yo-yo craze-due to the influence of Yo-Yo Martin, a character in Kerry Drake,s comic strip. Almost every boy in school had one, and flailed it about the halls. In December, rules for the Senior election were posted, a Nautilus Queen was selected, many convocations were enjoyed, and the girls block section was first formed. The P.T.A. Fair was also held in December, as was the Christ- mas concert given by the band. Al1o1'e.'T0p spinning trio. Below Left: Santa visits jeff. Below Righl: Gee, these freshmen get smaller every year!
