DECEMBER This was the month of many Christmas parties and Christmas dances. Remember the wonderful party that we had here at school one afternoon as an added present? Wfe were excused for the rest of the day. December also was the month of the holiday tour- neys, where jet? pulled an upset over New Albany, then lost to South Bend Central. December also was the month of the yo-yo craze-due to the influence of Yo-Yo Martin, a character in Kerry Drake,s comic strip. Almost every boy in school had one, and flailed it about the halls. In December, rules for the Senior election were posted, a Nautilus Queen was selected, many convocations were enjoyed, and the girls block section was first formed. The P.T.A. NOVEMBER November-the month when one event would fall right on the heels of another. First everyone was in a flutter about the Booster dance, next the Red and Black Revue received our attention, either as thrilled participants, or as very enthralled specta- tors. The day after the Revue, everyone rushed to Ross-Ade Stadium, for the annual jeff-Wfest Side football game which Jeff Won. After the game, many people journeyed to the gym where a stocking hop was held. November also marked the start of the basketball season, the Bronchos playing Lebanon and Rossville. Page S

Hmmm 7' Page 10 IANUARY After a very wonderful vacation, the student body dejectedly trudged back to school, thinking that two and one-half weeks certainly go by rapidly. They brought many fond memories of Christmas parties with them. Recall those ice-box raids? During the month, much ice skating and winter sports were enjoyed-as can be seen by the above picture. When the inmates of this great academic institution re- turned, they were greeted with many nice semester exams. The month of January also brought the Jeff-W.L. basketball game, played at the Purdue Fieldhouse. At the left We see one of those unra- tional sport fans still making amends for that mani- acal performance after the football game. The first month of 1950 saw some vigorious campaigning for the senior offices, the choosing of the senior play cast, and the departing of Jeff's advanced journalism students for Chicago, via air.
