Dave Pfrommerg Secre- tary, Bill Ikinsg Treasurer. George Haley: Sponsors, Messrs. George Earl Carroll and Gerald Hitchings. Its meetings are held on Tuesday nights, and the dues are fifty cents a semester. On February 10. the Hi-Y sponsored the annual Queen of Hearts Dance. It also sponsors religious convocations. mixers. and has charge of concessions during football season: it gave heartily to the Community War Fund. Red Cross, and Infantile Paralysis Fund. For the benefit of its members it has the Mother and Son's banquet on May 10. and a spring dance in honor of the senior members of the club. Page W3

The annual musical festival, which was presented on May 3 in collaboration with other vocal and instrumental groups of the city, was well worth the time and effort spent in its preparation. Miss White, the director. is to be commended for the splendid work she has done. The Mixed Chorus is composed of sixty boys and girls who are interested in singing and the further study of music. The Mixed Chorus has participated in many activities throughout the year. They were featured in the two convocations in the auditorium and combined with the Girls' Glee Club, Boys' Glee Club, and the Grade School Chorus for the Spring Music Festival. The group also sang for graduation this year. The officers of the club are Clarence Loy, president: Bill Merriott, librarian, and Phyliss Dolby, secretary-treasurer. Page IO-1

Some of the many responsibilities which confront these men are determining the amount of money needed to finance the schools, looking after the welfare of the students and teachers. taking care of the school equipment and many other difficult and trying problems. We. jefferson students. all owe these men a vote of thanks for their untiring efforts in making the Lafayette Schools the best that can be found in the State. i - -FQ D.
