Many courses of homemaking are offered in both departments: cooking, child care, flower arranging. and menu planning. in the one, and sewing. modeling. and etiquette, in the other. Many types of training aids may lie used: films. visiting professional people in that field, current events, and field trips. The students. with the help of Mrs. Wallace, learn to understand the reason behind their problems and solve the majority of them. This course may be taken by any student, as classes are held every Thursday during library periods. No outside work or grade is given. Many films on getting along with others are shown and discussed. While they receive this training, they also give service to their fellow students and the school. They prepare the books for the shelves and rebind the damaged ones. They serve as assistants at the desk by checking roll, and checking the incoming and outgoing library books. Many times these library assistants work for merits for either the Lassos or Girls' Cadet Corps. Binding books and helping with the many other things that take place behind the scenes in our library is their job. a .
