Equipped as an artist. he learns to control and create forms of art that meet the needs of contemporary living, for a career in art, or for art as a hobby. Such varied interests as interior decoration. costume design. commercial art and layout are offered. During the war years students were offered courses in a camouflaging and map drawing. Jefferson artists can he expected to hring honors to the school from such contests as Printing Wfeelc. Battle of Flowers Band Festival poster competition. and numerous other local and national contests. Fifteen art scholarships are offered to 'Jefferson art students.
