Iefferson's office assistants are very valuable to the school. ill Helping in the Main Office. always a beehive of activity, are these fine girls, who assist in operating the telephone switchboard for the entire building, go on important errands for our principal, assist with the school treasurer's books, and serve as a courtesy committee for all school visitors. In the picture are Nancy Elaine Fischer, Lucy lane Richerson, Florine Stansell, and Yvonne Varos. Gloria Tatsch Cnot in picture! is in charge of the making of the absentee list each day. Next CZD we see two of Mr. lvey's assistants on duty, Glenn C. Martin writing an absentee slip and lack Van Maltsberger answering the telephone. In the attendance office. supervised by Mr. Montgomery fcen- teri, the boys of this invaluable crew collect absentee slips, telephone homes of absentees, do routine clerical work, answer the tele' phone, and go on errandsi In Miss Smith's office 133 these trustworthy girls are of value in recording absentee information, answering the telephone, taking care of the Dean's office when Miss Smith is called away. and assisting in the sick room. A. degrees for Misses Arstein, Boyle, Burke, Dugosh, Dure rett, Mclfarland, Sauer, and lda Bess West, and Mrs. Bolton and Mrs. Fuller. Furnishing three M. Afs is Southwest Texas State Teachers' College, represented by Mr. T. Conner Bur- nett, Mrs. Chadwick, and Mrs. Tunnell. lncarnate Words two alumnae are Miss Brooks and Mrs. l-lickrnan. One M. A. degree each is from the following schools: S. M.U., Mr. T. A. Abbott, Central Missouri State Teachers' College, Mr. Arrowood, Our Lady of the Lake, Miss Georgeg Boston University, Miss l-lellandg l Wisconsin University, Miss Huey, Oklahoma University, Miss Oliphintg lowa State, Miss Stein, and Chicago ' University, Miss Stone. Three unusually interesting Masters degrees are Mr. Taliaferros M. E. from A. and M. College of Texas, Miss Orrell's M. B from University of Texas, and Mr. de Burgess Mus. M. from Detroit Conservatory of Music. Leading in number of degrees, then, is Mr. de Burgos with his four degrees, two Bachelors and two Masters. Next is Miss Brooks with her two Bachelors and one Masters degree. leffersons teachers thus have as their professional background many colleges and universities in many states.
