White .Rose Morro Mfmh,oorI, not scholarship, is the first aim in 6!IIlCll,tiU7I.H The first meeting of the Senior Class was held on September 18, 1934, under the sponsor- ship of Miss Florence Crowell and Miss Maedele Birdwell. The officers elected were: Fred Brannen, President, Jack Levy, Vice-P1'esi- dent, Gay Saunders, Recording Secretary, Harrie Travis, Treasurer, Dorothy Steves, Corresponding Secretary, Stanford Busby, Parliamentariang Bernice Barnett, Reporter, Bryce Parker, Sergeant-at-Arms, Margaret Stewart, Historian. Much of the success of this year's Senior Class is due to the fact that the sponsors have contributed so much of their time and thought in helping the officers in every way possible. The winners of the Beau and Belle con- test were announced at the Senior Frolic, given in the school auditorium, December 6, 1934. A Hall of Fame was chosen later in the year. Spring activities include the class' presenta- tion of their gift to the school, which was a large trophy case to be placed in the main hall, and the Senior Play, which was given May 3, 1935, the Junior-Senior Prom on Mary 175 Class Day on May 235 and the combined Baccalaureate Services on May 26, in the Muni- cipal Auditorium. The Thomas Jefferson the Senior Class of 1935 leaves its best wishes for the future. We shall never forget the happy days spent there. By Margaret Stewart. Page 26'
