Under his leadership the class's enterprises have tlourished. The actual work of the class began on September 19, 1933, with the election of officers. Shortly Zll'iC1'WZ1l'llS the three class presidents and a faculty committee drew up plans for a stand- ard school ring, which the class approved. Ann llarley and John Locke. selected as Belle and Beau, were presented to the school at the Senior Frolic on December 14. A llall ot Fame was also chosen. Spring: activities included the class's presentation on Friday, the thirteenth of April, of a mystery play, A Murder Has Been Arranged g the Junior-Senior Prom on May 115 Class Day on May 16g and the combined Baccalaureate Services on May 20 in the Municipal Auditorium. The class said its final farewell to high school life on May 24 with the impressive Com- mencement exercises. Page 26

Owing to the many dialects of the Texas Indians and their moral state, the task of the Spanish Padres was most difficult. Some of the Indians were provided with huts near the missions and were assembled each morning for prayer, mass, and a lecture. J .
