Enact Club ... Ski Club Promoting the idea of saving and recycling was Enact Club's major goal. They promoted it by selling recycled stationary note cards and sponsoring aluminum and paper drives. The money was contributed to Eagle Valley Environmentalists and the Nature Conservacy. Group activities included cross country skiing and hiking on an overnight trip to Kettle Moraine. The Harrah Reno Nevada gambling night and the sale of popcorn filled apothecary jars were two of Ski Club’s fund raising events headed by president John Radtke. The profits were used for transportation of skiers. On the very first outing, the illustrious leader, Mr. Stoltenberg, set the pace by skiing into a pole. Medical . . . Camera . Investment Clubs A scholarship will be given this year for the first time to a deserving senior member of Medical Club. Money for it was raised by selling baked goods and candy. A field trip was also taken to Madison to attend a March of Dimes program. Camera Club members attempted to master the fine art of photography and did a really great job. One of the highlights of the year for the five photography bugs was the display of their work in the halls of Jefferson Senior High. A little over one hundred students staked their claim in the newly formed Investment Club. Their hope for a big dividend rested in MGIC (Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation). Who knows.
