Sponsoring a Valentine’s Day Polka Dance, and selling popcorn and items from the Tom-Watts Showcase were three profit-makers for FBLA. In February, Carol Erie and Pat French were selected to represent the club as Miss FBLA and Mr. FBLA at the regional leadership contest at Rosendale. Mouth-watering hot dogs and dietbreaking treats were sold by FHA at noon to finance a spring trip to Madison. Their biggest project was making a bicentennial flag. Homecoming played a major role in the activities of both clubs. FHA took first place in the float division and FBLA won first place in the van division. 20 fbla FHa

Library Club... Spanish Club. .. Pat French blew a fuse! But it was not over the girls. It was at the Powder Puff football game where Pat's main concern was the pretzel sale sponsored by Library Club. Money raised from the pretzel and paperback book sales was used to purchase a new stereo 8-track system for the library. The two Spanish classes joined forces in selling ice cream and took field trips to see a play in Madison and the Spanish Festival in Whitewater where the famous Luis Rivera Spanish Dance Company presented dances from the 16th Century to the present. Hilda Gomez and Chuck Splitt-gerber, third-year Spanish students, and second-year student, Jean Jung, received first places in the annual Spanish Speaking Contest. Have you ever wondered where the library fine money goes. LIBRARY CLUB. (ABOVE) ROW 1: P. French, J. Scholesser, Miss Marshall. C. Miller. ROW 2: J. Reese. J. Jensen. K. Kalishek. L. Glab, S. Meyer.
