Debbie Hotter — MVP in Girls Track Coach gives last minute instructions. Greg Linse Goes To State Bad weather, including snow, seemed to plague both track teams. For example, the co-ed Jefferson Relays were rained out twice! A third try to host the relays finally proved to be successful. What became daily routine for both teams — warm-ups, coach talking to the teams, running indoors (up and down halls and stairs), and if the weather was good, going outside to the track and or field. There were several participants whose dedication to track showed their determination to be good in a certain area. Debbie Hotter and Kevin Wenzel went on to sectionals in the hundred yard dash. Their efforts paid off. Debbie placed second; Kevin placed fifth. Greg Linse showed great adaptability as he went on to sectionals in both the high and low hurdles. Greg qualified to advance to the state level of competition in the low hurdles. Debbie Hotter and Greg Linse were chosen Most Valuable Players bv their teams.
