SENIOR CLASS PLAY On April 28 the Senior Class presented the comedy, Cheaper by the Dozen , as their class play. The comical antics of this large family brought many laughs from the audience. Mrs. Scherer directed the play with Mary Anne Mueller acting as student director. Behind the scenes were many others who helped make the play a success. Vaughn, Mr. Flegl, J. Hamaan. NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY The National Honor Society is one of the newest organizations at Jefferson High School. Started in the school year of 1957-58, the Society has four main objectives. The Society endeavors to create an interest in scholarship, to advance leadership, to inspire the development of character in pupils, and to arouse a desire to help others. To be a member of the National Honor Society, a person must have a minimum of a B average, and to be re-elected he must maintain that average throughout his junior and senior years. The members are chosen by the faculty and are rated on the qualities of character, service, and leadership. Mr. Robert Flegl is the advisor for the National Honor Society. 22
