Not too many members . . . not all child prodigies, eithe . . . but very enthusiastic . . . for now was their chance t practice to make good public appearances. Did very well too . . . marching for football games . . fall festival at Fort . . . pep band for basketball games . . first formal concert in December . . . members could li proud of themselves . . . not all Joy however . . . found ou Mr. Mueller was leaving to continue study of music . . . ha done very Well in one and one-half years here . . . so sorr to see him leave. But second semester Mr. Resheske came and very capabl took over . . . rehearsal band for going away appearance . . . Jefferson at mass band represented by Dick, Ton Wayne, Dean, Adolph, Tessy, Messy, LaVerne and Bill. Then weeks of practice for tournament . . . Whitewate May 8 . . . memorable day . . . band can be proud of thcn selves . . . and school can be proud of them.

A Ciappelllla Glliioiiir lagic in !f'faiic--- The A Cappella Choir of Jefferson Iligh School . . . directed by Mrs. Dore Meinel . . . a group that the school can be proud of . . . consisting of fifty-two members . . . Each does his share . . . Each shares the glory showered on the choir . . . Each year the choir and the band combine to give Christmas Concert at the high school . . . For this concert the members are tense . . . eager to make a good showing . . . and do . . . Sometime during the year the choir journeys to Lake Mills, Fort Atkinson, Milton and Cambridge lligh Schools . . . There, as guests, they try to give a program of good music for the students of these schools . . . These trips are looked forward to by all members of the choir . . . fun is had by all . . . mostly on the bus . . . laughing and talking and singing . . . At times they wonder how in the world the bus driver puts up with it . . . Sometimes during the year the choir of these schools also pays a visit to Jefferson . . . to give a musical program . . . But the big chance every choir member hopes for is that he be sent to Mass Choir . . . A group made up of a few members from the choirs of Lake Mills, Fort Atkinson, Milton, Cambridge, Jefferson and others . . . They are sent on a certain day to the school where they will give a concert . . . After practicing one day, they give a concert . . . This year fourteen members were sent from Jefferson . . . Mass Choir was held at Lake Mills . . . Every year some members from the choir and band selected to go over to Music Clinic at Madison . . . ln 1948, six members journeyed to Madison to hear the University of Wisconsin students give a concert . . .
