Well, a Gremlin is invisible, corruptive, destructive, malicious, snoopy and a pest. My father was a Gremlin who made his living around automobiles. He is the one that floods the engine, clogs the gas line, puts sand or water in the 'gas tank, and short- circuits the battery. My mother does part time work on sewing machines, vacuum clean- ers and electric irons. My grandmother came from Germany. I was born on a cold rainy night in December, 1898. At the age of two, my father gave me my first tool, it was a saw. At three, he let me accompany him to work. When I was four I started Gremlin School. Those days of learning the in's and out's of destruc- tion were very enlightening. At the age of fourteen, I started advanced work in Gremlin High School. I graduated one class behind because I flunked my course in advanced elec- trical destruction. The year 1917 found me drafted. I joined the Gremlin School of Applied Aircraft Destruction, and in six months came out a full-fledged Gremlin, First Class. You remember in 1940 when that P-38 test flight was a flop? That was my work. I got a bonus and a promotion to Chief Gremlin. It was then that I met Edith. She was the best-looking female Gremlin I ever saw. She had a wrecking technique all her own. But alas, one day she was working on the points of a spark plug, and someone started the engine. To make up for the loss of Edith Magaluskowitz, I threw myself into my work. I smashed airliners, bombers, fighters and light planes until I was promoted to Lt. General Gremlin. In .lanuary of 1943, I retired. My work as a Gremlin was finished. I was given a gold medal by the International Order of Gremlins for my work on Wiley Post and VVill Rogers. My name is in Gremlin's VVho's Who .
