Dick johnson SENIOR CIASS HISTORY It is the evening of Commencement, May 25, 1959. As I take a last minute look around, l see all the members of our class lined up for the Processional. On every face there is a different expression. Some reflect relief at having reached this, the final goal of their high school career. Others reflect the sadness they are feeling. Many of my classmates are remembering all the fun and hard work of the last four years. Our class, though small in number, has always been large in spirit. The girls have participated in Y-Teens, G.A.A., and Girls Glee, the boys in football, basketball, base- ball, and D-Club. Together they have been active in choir, band, ensembles, and Science Club, and have attended such memorable events as the Y-Teen Dances, the Athletic Banquets, the Proms, the music festival and contests, and many others. They also worked together in putting on the junior and -12- senior class plays and editing the school paper when they were juniors, and the year- book when they were seniors. Besides being so social-minded, our class was well-represented scholastically. Eight of our classmates were members of the National llonor Society. Our class has shared many happy times and, of course, a few bad ones. Now, as the first strains of the Processional are heard, and we begin to move toward the future, we can only hope that all of us will keep the wonderful memories of our high school days with us throughout our lives..
