Standing: Larry Hunn, Louis Thompson, Danny DuPree, Roger Brown, 'Me Flay The main event in the course of our Sophomore year was the play, Be Happy? Go Wacky! Our advisor was Mrs. Nottingham. The play consists of the four members of the orphaned Dixon family, Clay, Pamela, and the twins, Dizzy and Daffy, who nearly drive Clay and Pam wild because of their philosophy: Be happy? Follow your impulses no matter how wacky. The twins are aided by Madge and Whiz Whaley, whose widowed mother threatens to sue if those Terrific Twins don't stop influencing her precious darlings for the worse! The Dixons, in spite of taking in boarders, have great difficulty in making ends meet, Dizzy and Daffy discover in the attic, an ancient book on witchcraft. Half serious, they copy down three incantations for producing sudden wealth. Rich Aunt Molly Millarkey pops in and declares the Dixons her heirs. Two Ozarkians appear on the scene--Garley Glanders and his Mammy, rich from oil wells. Garley wants to marry Pamela, Clay saves the life of eccentric and fabulously wealthy J. Wooford Woolrich, The grateful Woolrich hands Clay a check for ten grand! But the twins soon discover all is not a bed of roses. Aunt Molly is a gloomy hypochondriac, the Glanders turn out to be crude folks, and the twins would rather die than have Garley marry Pam. Finally the twins decide to get rid of these PCSI-guests with the aid of the witchcraft formula, When the high school principal appears dressed as a devil, most of the unwanted guests tear out for parts unknown with Ginger Jones, the cook, a mile ahead of them, leaving the Dixons to straighten out their own problems, and all ends happily.
