Byron Saul wills his Chevy to Lewie Wallace who wrecked his. Ellen Mae Shank wills her ability to flirt to Wanda Peak. Bill Stebbins wills his driving skill to speed demon, Leonard Riegel. Joyce Stuck leaves her scissors to next year's dressmaking class. Norman Troutman wills her red hair to Wanda Law. Bobbie Todd wills her ability to work for Mr. Becker to Phyllis Martin. Kenneth Weaver will his big feet to Russell Yeazel. Virgil White wills his broad shoulders to Jack Thomas. To this school, our beloved Alma Mater, in order to show our appreciation of all that it has done for us, l do, on this last will and testament, hereby bequeath the amount of ten thousand mem- ories, with which to erect a bronze table a lasting memorial to this Senior Class of l947. In the line of intelligence there are none better, Why we can even read and write a letter. Through the years we worked out each problem step by step, But always came out knowing a lot less. The Class of '47 is packed full of sports, Why they play their opponents clear off the courts, ln basketball, baseball, and even in track, We've got talent to spare with a little slack. Our boys have a spirit of never say die, When the chips are down they let out a cry, Of Come on gang, give'er the gun. They play for keeps, not just for fun. Now, don't think the girls can't play, 'Cause when it comes to sports, they're not hay . They're rough and they're tough, but they play a good game, And if there's a fight, nobody's to blame. In tournaments of all kinds You'll never see them behind, So, you see our girls can't be beat, No matter what the line. The music department is full of charm, Although many of the members are fresh off the farm. Of course the Seniors make up most of the chorus, Why it would be a flop if it hadn't been for us. The band is really improved, But what will it be when the Seniors have moved . . . i

We, the Senior Class of Jefferson Township School, County of Montgomery, State of Ohio, being of unsound mind and disintegrating memory after four strenuous years, do hereby make publish and declare this as our last and best will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills, bequests, and devises of whatever nature by us already made. To our highly esteemed Superintendent and Principal, we leave a new book of rules that this present class has labored over so faithfully for the past months, said book containing provi- sions for an increase of holidays to one, bi-weekly, changing the hour of opening of school to ten o'clock, instead of eight-forty-five, and closing at one, with two recesses fifty-nine minutes each. Said book also recommends the purchase of a silver waiter, on which the credits of pro- motion be presented to the pupils, instead of the old way of studying for them. Carl Adams wills his knowledge of sports to any of the boys on the up and coming Junior High Team. Russell Baker wills his black wavy hair and a bottle of dye to Charles Linebaugh. Faye June Bowman wills her way with the boys to Norma Peach. Jim Broadbent wills his ability to dance and grow a beard to Henry Wagner. Robert Collins wills his bushy eyebrows to Eugene Weaver. Ruth Ann Curry wills her great gum chewing ability to Wanda Schenck. Jack Cyrus wills his peculiar look to Bob Michael. Owen Delp wills his ability to speak before a group of people to Don Jackson. Virginia Downs wills her backwardness around boys to Janet Toms. Bonnie Eshbaugh wills her quiet voice to Georgia Nan Stebbins. To the Junior Class, following us, we do hereby bequeath our old seats, with the tacks that tear clothes, our lockers, which will not lock, our old books, with most of the leaves loose or gone, all the mistakes we made, and all the knowledge we failed to learn. Esther Emery wills her way of laughing to Beatrice Wagner. Harold Ferguson wills anything but his ambition and his Ford to Maynard Dils. Annis Foust wills her super-abundance of credits to anyone who needs them. Willard Foust wills his quietness to Charles Reedy. Jack Fout wills his pin-up pictures to Charles Lawrence. Ann Griffin wills her walk to Betty Land. Austin Harris wills his good speaking voice to Harold Metzger who's voice is still changing. Bill Hensley will his ability to study l6 hours per day to Paul Musselman. Miriam Hunn wills her blond hair to any junior girl who can't afford peroxide. Rosemarie Jonas wills her gift of gab to Marilyn Liston. Perry Lynn wills his ways with the teachers to Elwood Cooper. To the Sophomore Class we leave our quick wits, rapid elucidations, and, best of all, our ability to play hooky without having to make up double for lost time. Larry Marker wills his fancy burr hair cuts to Roberts Wrights. Katherine Metzger wills her ability to write poetry to Jean Forrest. Betty Mitchell wills her writing ability to anyone who is not able to read his own writing. Doris Moyer wills her short finger nails to Julia Shupert, better known as the claw . Bill Myers wills his cheering ability to Mary Jane George. Zelma Norman wills her ability to play baseball to Phyllis Starr. Stanley Peak wills his ability to tell tall stories to anyone who can use them. Joyce Pierce wills her smile to Frances Rettig. Adria Peffly wills her muscles to James Walters who can really use them. Glen Rawlins wills his eight months experience in the Navy to Cecil Henn to match Cecil's experi- ence in the Boy Scouts. .GZGM 0 The following mess is dedicated to a well established custom, the custom of having a prophecy for every person in the class each year on class night. Our committee has made a concentrated study of the forces governing our fellow students. For this reason, mathematically, our prophecy doesn't miss more than 2..9fk. Let us change scenes. Imagine that eleven years have rolled by since you heard this prophecy, more exactly eleven years and one night. Our people have never had a reunion or party since I947, but just for the sake of prophecy they held a big party. Everyone was there so project yourself into the future on the night following the fiasco, lean back and listen to our drummer playing preacher who will tell you much. Rev. Hensley please! Hensley-Last night we had our class reunion. You expected me to say annual meeting but we just had our little party so that the prophecy committee could predict something. First to come was Faye June Bowman, toting her piano. Russ Baker came in with her. He had to jump off the piano to keep from bumping the door frame. Professionally, Faye plays ping pong and makes music only for special occasions. Russ is a second Sinatra or Durante or someone. Since Joyce Stuck is the leading society gossip, - l mean writer - she naturally arrived early to get the latest dirt. t Larry Marker, the world's heavy weight champion, came in with Carl Adams, Jefferson's coach, and Miriam Hunn, the girls' physical education director at Jefferson. She also writes a comic strip similar to Sad Sack and gets her ideas by watching Jefferson's Coach. Esther Emery, who laughs for Spike Jones, was laughing at Ruth Ann's sad expression. The party was for the class of 47 and Ruth Ann couldn't bring Harry. ' 1 Katherine Metzger came in carrying one of those chickens from her hatchery. She and Bub Er- baugh have a business all their own. As she sat down to talk to our only old maid, Doris Moyer, Bob Collins joined her. He owns a swap shop and wanted to swap a box of cigars for her prize chicken. The next person who came is the world's champion woman wrestler, Zelma Norman. She came in her wheel chair with Maxine Dunlevy pushing it. A woman wrestler needs a full time nurse like Maxine. Someone told me that Virgil White is a hunter and trapper but l don't know exactly what he traps. He was telling Jim Broadbent, the man about town, how to set a trap. Everyone knows that the only things Jim is interested in trapping, are women. lncidentally he trapped a secretary. She is Betty Mitchell. Don't ask me why he needs a secretary. There are two other hunters in our group, Kenny Weaver and Stanley Peak. Stanley also writes westerns and Kenny helps sometimes. Both of them were hunting on Bill Stebbins' large farm when Kenny saw a cow and, thinking it was a deer, shot it. They were hunting crows. Speaking of women - l saw Virginia Downs with a sad expression because she had to leave Ray at home with the children. In honor of Austin Harris' pleasant voice and his radio program of bedtime stories, and because we couldn't get anyone else, Austin Harris was the toastmaster of the party. Let's get a report of the party from his view. Harris- l first went to the kitchen to stop Crockey Jonas' campaigning. She was writing Jonas for President' on all our plates with the spaghetti. ' ' '
