Our chapter served lunch to various adult education classes, promoted a car window wash and participated in the district FHA meeting at Paynesville, where they presented a workshop on mental retardation. Fund-raising activities for the year centered around a Valentine s Dance and individual projects. Through practical experience in the library, assisted by their advisor and librarian, Miss Wold, club members became familiar with the field of li- brary science. Their motto, “Be all you can — read, was enhanced through their sponsorship of the Teenage and Cam- pus Book ( lubs, thus providing Jeffer- son students ready access to quality, yet inexpensive, paperbacks. for outstanding objectives. Monthly programs on topics such as prime numbers, probability, game theory, and continued fractions, are presented by club committees. Proceeds of a dance and members dues are spent on awards made at the end of each year for proficiency in tests taken after each meeting. The advisor is Mrs. Viola Halvorson. 21
