Bewildered but determined, we, the class of 68, started our senior year. Since it was our last year we hoped to make every class, game, and activity the best. As seniors we found our- selves in a different role—previously we had looked to upper- classmen for our school leadership, but this year the responsi- bility of providing capable leaders was placed upon our shoul- ders. Early in the year our confidence began to build as we discov- ered well-qualified class officers-Roger Foss. President; Judy Eastman. Vice-president; and Jan Thompson, Secretary- Treasurer. Our advisor was Mr. Ording. The beginning of October found us enthusiastically involved in the events of Homecoming. We were proud of our queen, Cheryl Navratil, and her attendents, Linda Augdahl and Sandy Dehn. The satisfaction that comes with any great accomplish- ment was present when our float, The Goalden Way to Victo- ry,” won first place. Graduation came as usual in the spring. Both as a class and as individuals we were proud of our accomplishments. Once again we were hearing the familiar strains of Pomp and Cir- cumstance, but this time it was meant for us. We were march- ing away from our happy high school days and to the the fu- ture. 20
