WILLIAM JORDAN Principal PRINCIPAL To the Graduating Class of 1971 One of the really nice things about my job is that | have the opportunity to work with so many fine people. This senior class is certainly no exception, and it has been a real pleasure for me to know you and to work with you in the planning of your various activities. We have had some interesting experiences since your class entered Jefferson in the fall of 1967. The solution has not always been easy, but | have always had excellent cooperation from your class officers and from you as individuals. As with all classes in recent years, you are leaving high school in very difficult times, times in which we are all facing many serious, unsolved problems. Our country needs strong, wise leadership, and my genera- tion is going to be looking to yours for the solution to the problems that have caused unrest and unhappiness in your generation. | am certain that we will see some very fine contributions from the class of 1971. | sincerely hope that you will find that your high school education has been an important step in your educational process, and that it will enable you to take your next step successfully, regardless of what it may be. | am confident that you can succeed if you are willing to work hard to achieve your goals. Your teachers and | wish you the best of luck, and we hope that you will let us know when we can help you in any way.
