PRINCIPAL To the Graduating Class of 1967 I am pleased to have this opportunity to offer my congratulations to you, the second class to graduate from Thomas Jefferson High School. Most of you have been here for three years, and certainly you have made a large contribution to the establishment and develop¬ ment of our school. As I stated to the Class of 1966, I am glad that such a large percentage of you will be furthering your education in one way or another. Our way of life con¬ tinues to develop and advance in knowledge and tech¬ nology, and those with the best education will have the greatest opportunity for choosing their place in our society. Those of you who will not continue your formal education will also be able to lead happy, successful lives because there are so many kinds of jobs avail¬ able for those who are willing to engage in hard work. Your teachers and I have endeavored to provide you with the best possible high school education, and we hope that you feel prepared to face the challenge that awaits you. As you leave Jefferson, our best wishes go with you, and we hope that you will visit us when you can and keep us informed of your progress. We stand ready to assist you in any way possible whenever you need to call upon us. 12
