SOCIAL SUDies DEPARTMENT We seek a world-wide outlook .. . The objective of the Social Studies Department is to develop understandings of contemporary civilization in each student in order to produce intelligent, responsible citizens for the future. These understandings are world-wide in scope and cannot be limited to a narrow study of our own society.
