In February, they spoke for a Jefferson assembly pro- gram and visited classes. We feature Miss Martin, Who, as Sen- ior Advisor, has made available great amounts of vocational and educational information to stu- dents. Tirelessly she arranged in- terviews, College Day, and testing programs, Wrote innumerable let- ters of recommendation, and com- piled records and statistical data. The Drama Department presents four plays a year-a Fall and a Spring play, a Christmas play, and one which is entered in the One- Act Play Drama Festival. What a Life , a story of high school life is centered around the character of Henry Aldrich.

Verlyn Simmons, above, was crowned Homecoming Queen. Her Junior At- tendant was JoAnn Floyd, and Mary Ann Lan- caster was elected Sophomore Attendant. We consider it an honor to represent Jeffer- son to others-as members of a literary or athletic teamg choir, band, string ensemble or dance bandg club convention or field trip group. One of the greatest of honors is to be elected Madonna, or President of an organization, or editor or queen. Becka Quinn, Yearbook Editor, with members of her staff, attended the Columbia Scholastic Press Associa- tion Conference held at Columbia University.
