JOHN VERNON BROOKS Vernon is light-hearted and industrious. His quiet- ness, politeness, and mod- esty have made him well- liked by both class-mates and teachers. He doesn't work very hard until he has to, but then he can work very diligently. His favorite sports are fishing and hunt- ing. THELMA ESTEL BROTHER Thelma came to us from Lee Junior High. Although she did not take part in any of the school activities, she is very fond of several sports: tennis, swimming and dancing. NVILLIE LAVELLE BRUGH LaVelle is an attractive nineteen year old girl, slen- der and of medium height, with brown eyes and red wavy hair. The statement about redheads being hot- tempered is not true of LaVelle. She is talented in voice, and interested in sports and nursing-her re- cently chosen vocation. HAZEL CATHERINE BRYANT Hazel is an alert student, willing to cooperate, always dependable. Her friendly disposition and the pleasant smile she wears are reason enough for the large circle of friends she has. To be a competent secretary is her ambition, we know she will reach her goal. 'Tour-fortyn divides his time between all kinds of sports and creative writ- ing. He adds up his friends by the hundreds, keeps mul- tiplying them. His wit could not be subtracted from the ACORN without ' iding its value. LLOQD Evnkrm' BRACY . Lloyd, you may rest as- sured, is a quiet, easy-going nior, who loves a good time. He takes a part in commercial work and also in shop work. He is greatly interested in printing and more so in wood work. He might be summed up by saying, Still waters run deep. NIARGARET V1RGtN1A BRADY Nlargaret came to us from Jackson Junior High. She is five feet and 'one inch tall and weighs one hundred and ten pounds. She has black curly hair and brown eyes. Her leisure time is spent in reading books. She also enjoys swimming, baseball and basket ball, as well as other sports. GRACE KESLER BREEDEN Grace is a pal to every one. She is friendly, con- genial and sweet. She is liked by all because she is always the same. Grace, with her laughing brown eyes and light-brown hair, has occupied several posi- tions in our clubs. Nlay luck be with you always, Grace. XXKOODRONV CARLISLE BRIGHTWELL Yllhoopee, nobody but ole Woodrow! He is one of Hi's good looking fellows who sports around her halls. His pleasing personality and ready smile have Won him many friends among both boys and girls. We hate to give him over to N. B. C. Hi wishes him luck. VIRGINIA EZLIZABETI-I CAXBANISS Jenny has a very Win- ning personality which has Won her Inany friends. Along with this she is humorous and attractive. 'fjennylsn favorite hobbies are swimming and tennis. She is undecided as to her future but her friends know that her winning smile will be her success. V'IRGINIA LEE CALDWELL Virginia is a girl with a nice personality, and well- liked by all-teachers and pupils alike.
