Girl's Track An obvious problem with this year's girl's track team was the lack of team members. Not having but one meet discouraged many potential partici¬ pants from joining the team. All three members of the team also played girl's softball and were coached by the same coach. Miss Seymour, follow- Girl's Track: N. Evans, C. Camden, B. Calloway, ing softball practice, without uniforms. In the Western Sectional Meet held at Salem College in Roanoke, Bernadine Calloway ran the 50 and the 100 yard dashes, but did not place. Nancy Evans placed sixth in the shot put. Throw¬ ing the discus, Cathy Camden placed third and qualified for the state meet, held in Fairfax, with 67 representatives.
