E . foreword The 1955 Beazwoir has only one purpose . . . to catch and hold for you this year at jeff- erson Davis. With this in mind, we have tried to capture the spirit of the most outstanding thing at Davis . . . the crowd. With an enrollment of 2400, Davis has within its walls this year the largest en- rollment in its history. Evi- dence of this is found in the steaming locker rooms, in the jammed halls, in the crowded classrooms, and in the increased number of faculty members. jefferson Davis may never again have this peak in enroll- ment. We dedicate this 29th vol- ume of the Beazwoir to the 449 members of the graduat- ing class. I' . I, 4 , 'iq P vi- -1 sa P' 'lzilfiu f f ' ,ff f' , ' N.
