Harbinger Reports: Rhonda Sutterfield quickly rewrites her article in order to meet a deadline. The Harbinger serves jefferson College students as their main line of communica- tion. The Harbinger informs students of school events and presents thought provok- ing editorials on campus life by student editors. In conjunction with its service to the school, the student newspaper pro- motes community relations through ad- vertising. Businesses that advertise in The Harbinger receive free copies, and many display them as a service to interested patrons. The Harbinger thus helps to unify the student body and to interpret the college to citizens of Jefferson County. The Harbinger Stall all go over a proof copy of the paper before it goes for final printing. 60
