The officers are elected following a brief campaign by grades 5 - 12. The remaining members are chosen by election from individual classes Nine - twelve have two representatives eachg seven and eight one each and K - six one elected from grade five or grade six. The functions of the Student Senate are to open all assemblies, to schedule all interclass activities, to schedule all social activities of the classes, and to sponsor the Awards Banquet early in June. Much of this money is earned by the sponsoring of record hops following home basketball games. N. Danforth, D. Graham, N. Pindar, F. Stryker, S. Burnett, S. Vroman. . il Ford Stryker 1. Leonardo Muhoz llfaffbnaf Honor Qocfpfg In 1966, Jefferson Central joined the foreign exchange student program of The International Fellowship, Inc. The first foreign exchange from Jefferson was Ford Stryker '68, who spent the sum- mer of '66 in Quayaguil, Ecuador. During his vacation in '67, Leonardo Munoz of Guayaguil, attended school here. A foreign exchange student fund has been es- tablished to enable Jefferson to continue sending an eligible student to a foreign country during his summer vacation. Many adults and students have contributed gen- erously of time and money to make the exchange program successful. The School and Community Club and the Jefferson Chapter of the National Honor Society had the exchange program as their '66-'67 projects. With continued united community effort, the exchange program will benefit Jefferson for many years. AUDIO-VISUAL AIDS CLUB The Visual Aids Group, boys from grades 9-12, was formed to have available some students who were trained to ADVISOR operate and maintain the equipment used as Audio aids and Visual aids. At least one boy is available every period. Their most common task is to set up and run the movie pro- jector for 200 films being used in K-12. They are responsi- ble for seeing that screens, film strip projector, overhead and opaque projectors, tape recorder, etc are available to Mrs. Patterson teachers as requested. It is a reliable group which offers an important service to the school. Qenfbf Band in-'gi L Junfbff Hana' Concefff Our Cfzangmg , . 1 . ny. nl . H ' Qcfzoof Exchange Student The new addition?
