PATTERSON Vice President - - ----- D, ZEH Secretary - - - - P. CRANDALL Treasurer - - ---- B, ZEH The former Student Council was reorganized this year under a new consti- tution. It is now called the Student Senate. The officers were elected by the students in grades 7-12 following an active campaign. The Student Senate con- sists of eleven members, two each from grades nine, ten, eleven, and twelve, and one from both the eighth and seventh grades. The eleventh member is elected from the fifth and sixth grades to represent the elementary grades. The president and the treasurer may be elected from either the Senior or Junior class, and the vice president and secretary from the Sophomore or Freshman class. The Student Senate has eamed money this year by sponsoring record dances after basketball games and by selling refreshments at one basketball game. Among the duties of the Student Senate is the choice of a yearbook staff, the scheduling of class activities, and developing a criterion for choosing cheer- leaders.
