First, we will start way back with Ancient History or the time when we were freshmen. It was quite a thrill to think we were getting started in high school. It was even more of a thrill when the seniors decided it was time to initiate us. We came to school looking like so many torn and tattered rag dolls, and of course that was the day that was picked to have a Lire drill Ne lined up along the sidewalk as usual and drew the astonished looks of many people who passed by During this year we also sponsored our first dance and skating party Our leaders during these ancient times were President Stephen Jamba, Vice President Jeanneatte Loucks, Secretary Betty Hlllis Treasurer Elsie Hendricksen, Student Council Representative Jean Fuller Miss Burns was class advisor Next, we will deal with the Riddle Ages or those 'Dark Agesn when we were sophomores This period in our history is at the time where few new things were accomplished We did however sponsor our annual class dance and enjoy ourselves at a class Halloween Party were President Jeanneatte Loucks, Vice President Elsie Hendricksen, Secretary Helen Reed Treasurer Jean Fuller, Student Council Repre entative Largaret Himpele Miss Hemens was class advisor Officers Next, cores the Renaissance period when we were juniors This period keeps up with its name the Renaissance or the rebirth of trad 'tx T6 6 G 8 Op L' Y' 5 E .Juu.LvI' Prom Shu undex thu direction of Miss Hemens, our class advisor, we sponsored it very suc cessfully Barbara Summers was elected queen and Fred Mowers king Besides our prom we also sponsored a class dance During the Renais sance period everyone became conscious of beauty and ornamentation, so to keep up with the times we ordered our class rings Our government was run smoothly by President Jeanneatte Loucks, Vice President Betty Hillis, Secretary Helen Reed Treasurer Jean Puller, Student Council Representative Elsie Hendricksen Finally, we come to Modern History or our senior year First of all we had to keep up the old tradition and initiate the Fresh en e were at last in the other fellows shoes and could get even for what had been done to us Our Junior Prom had proved so successful that we decided to sponsor a Senior Ball Since we were going to use our pro fits for our trip to New York City we took a New York roof garden theme for our decorations It was quite effective with a skvline f skyscrapers and marquees with Uclub '47n It called for e lot of work but we all had fun doing it Ne apain sponsored our class dance this year Even though we were looking for ways to earn money to go on our senior trip we sponsored a free Halloween Party at the school for any one from l to lOO It proved to be one of the most successful ac tivities we had sponsored and we hope other classes will adopt our 1 dee Ne again SPOHSOPEG our class dance and also a sketinz party L,ke most people of modern times we were not content to stay in our small town much longer So at Faster time we took our senior trip to New York City Officials during this time were President Elsie Hendrick sen, Vice President Barbara Summers, Secretary Jeanneatte Loucks, Treasurer Jean rhller, Student Council Representative Fred Mowers W want to thank iss H mens for her patient guidance through thls year The Class of '47 is not finlshec yet watch your newspaper for later devel pments' F2 QT' ' ' . fr' 'K' Q. 2 ff 's -1.-ww -fs' .4 -1:-g-. - ,ag .,- - v -- --ff ..1- J. , - Aff 5' t o 'jg 'Z ,fi 'gl' , S' ,gifjiih .Vai ifkgutgt '-fix' ,bv X -,E 'JH .gg,p. 1.
