This year the Jeannette Senior High School students welcomed Yolanda Macua as their foreign exchange student for the 1968-69 school term. Yolanda’s “American family” was Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kritzer and their children Susan, David, Bonnie, and Rodger. Yolanda's home is in Bilbao, Spain. Besides her father and mother, Senor and Senora Jose Maria Macua, she has a brother Jose and a sister Marie Beatriz. Yolanda, a member of homeroom 206, was enrolled in the general course and her favorite subjects were languages and economics. Her course of study at JSHS was made up of home economics, sales, biology, American history, American government, French III, economics, general F.nglish IV, and physical education. Her extracurricular activities were American Field Service, French Club, and French Honor Society (vice president). Yolanda’s pastimes included reading, music, television, and basketball. Her favorite food was apple pie. Upon her return to Spain, Yolanda will attend a university to study psychology. The student body of Jeannette Senior High Sclhool would like to thank Yolanda for brightening up the halLs of JSHS and wish her success in her future years.
