CAFETERIA Left. Mrs. Florence Tocco. Mrs. Madeline Aparato, Mrs. Ann B. Loreto, Mrs. Angcline Divida Throughout the school we see signs of the hard work done by the efficient maintenance staff. Along with keeping the school clean, they are always willing to lend a helping hand to any student in need of assistance. In addition the students can be grateful to the cafeteria workers. These ladies, under the supervision of Mrs. Norma Wolfe, can always be counted on to have balanced meals ready for the students and teachers. We owe a great deal of thanks to these busy individuals who keep our school running smoothly. MAINTENANCE Left: Mr. Glenn R. Brewer, Mrs. Frances Clark, Mr. John Mautino, Mrs. Edna Compton. OFFICE STAFF The office staff of Jeannette Senior High is both efficient and pleasant. Between the jobs of preparing college transcripts, mimeographing tests, being gracious receptionists, and doing general office work, Mrs. Virginia Moczydlowsky, Mrs. Margaret Novak, and Mrs. Doris Bender manage to create a cheerful atmosphere in that rather awesome office. They are always willing to offer advice and a helping hand whenever needed, and they never fail to give a friendly smile to each student. “Good afternoon, Jeannette Senior High School. , “Is this what you're looking for? SENIORS “The happiest people are those who are too busy to notice.” The author of this quote surely must have had us, the Class of “66 , in mind when he wrote it. In our three years at JSHS we have been so busily engaged in the activities of everyday school life that we didn't realize how happy we were. Reflecting on our sophomore year, we discovered that becoming an integral part of the student body was easier than we had anticipated. Cheering at assemblies, trying to beat the bell, and racing for the lunch line gave us the opportunity to participate. Attending our sophomore class party, “Autumn Fiesta,” was a unique experience. For the first time the members of our class contributed as a whole in planning an enjoyable evening. The following year we entered JSHS as juniors. Ordering our class rings was an important event in our lives. This gave us the distinction of being upperclassmen. November rolled around, bringing with it our second class party, “Magic Moments.” The evening's entertainment was presented by the talented members of our class. Christmastime brought club parties, the annual Christmas assembly, and the Formal. At the conclusion of our junior year, we eagerly awaited summer vacation but were also anxious to return as seniors. The coming year was to present us with new experiences. The members of our class assumed leadership in the Student Council, in the various clubs, in editing the newspaper, and in organizing the yearbook. Passing out senior pictures, decorating for our last prom, and being honored on Senior Class Day meant that the end of our high school career was drawing near. But graduation was not the end, rather it was the beginning of a new way of life. Looking back we realize that it was worth the effort. IN MEMORY OUR DEPARTED CLASSMATES DORIS JEAN SPRINGER.
