X' awww' The doors of our new Jeannette Senior High School, which was under construction for nearly two years, were opened September 9, 1959. We, the students. were both delighted and bewildered with our new surroundings. There was no comparison between the old school and the new one. Although some of the construction work was ll0I finished, we overlooked the handicaps Hllll soon learn- ed to improvise. Transportation was the most difficult problem to solve. Witli good humor many students piled into the crowded busses. Other students drove cars or rode with friends. and still others trudged along the steep road that winds up to our school.
