FLORA G BRADY Occidental Col. is where this little lady received her B A. degree did graduate work at the Columbia and Mexico Univ. is our able Eng. I and II teacher in spare time enjoys being with, and taking care of her family. RAYMOND BRONZIE This new addition to J. H. S. can be found in room 102 teaching general math and general arithmetic earned his B. S. degree in Education from Edinboro College enjoys all forms of sports also. CHARLES A. BUTLER Received his B. Ed. degree from Duquesne Univ. and his Masters at Columbia Univ. this well liked teacher of civics is the head of the Student Council spends most of his time on Council activities photography takes up his free time. Future beauticians LEO CHEKANSKI This well liked shop teacher is a new comer to the halls of J. H. S. He is attending the University of Pittsburgh. Enjoys reconstructing old cars is a friend to all the students he kno s. JOSEPH CHURCHMAN A well liked teacher at J. H. S. is the capable varsity basketball coach sponsor of Boy's Gym Club teaches gym and health received from West Liberty his A. B. degree and his M. Ed. degree from Pitt. KENNETH COOPER This likable English and speech teacher, received his B. A. degree from St. Francis College and is sponsor of the Grex Club and Midget Players. His avocation is any form of the theater. HUGH A. D'AMATO This member of the American Chemical Society teaches general science and chemistry has a sense of humor and always enjoys a good laugh received his A. B. and M. Ed. degrees from West Virginia and Pitt he sponsors the Priestley Science Club. 11

Business in his free time likes to play golf. ELROY S. ALBRIGHT A teacher known for his many jokes, is the new Supervisor of Grounds and Buildings the competent sponsor of the Thurs. Sq. Dance Club received his Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State and Master of Arts degree from Pitt. ALFRED M AMANN Bachelor of Science and Master of Ed. degrees were received by this humorous and witty member of the faculty from Pitt our assistant football coach and sponsor of the Hunting and Fishing Club patiently shows his bookkeeping classes the differences between Debits and Credits . A. MARKLEY BARNES Does an excellent job of coaching our football team received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Ed. degrees from Pitt has introduced some new plays that really got that pigskin over our opponents goal line teaches Civics. HARRY N. BASOM Received Bachelor of Arts degree from Albright College and Master of Arts degree from Pitt is in charge of Commercial Academic Night School classes our handsome friend also enjoys sports teaches U. S. History spends his leisure time reading mysteries. WILLIAM H. BAUGHMAN Received from the University of Alabama his B. S. and M. A. degrees is kept busy by being the assistant football coach and wrestling coach teaches biology, health and physical ed known to all the students for his cheerfulness. 10

A. and M Lit. from Seton Hill and Pitt, did graduate work at Columbia capable sponsor of the Classical Club can be found two periods a day in the Guidance Office teaches Latin always ready with a smile for everyone. BERTA M FRY Received her A. B. from Pitt did graduate work at Seton Hill, Penn State, Wis. and Chicago Art Institute takes care of the artistic side of our education advisor of the Rembrandt Club and the Colorama Club. WILLIS GILKEY Can always be seen with a big smile competent teacher of the Pattern Shop takes a great interest in his Pattern Shop boys sponsor of the Photography Club enjoys listening to music. FLORENCE S. GORDON This pleasant lady is relieving Miss Shearer for this year a graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School of Nursing did graduate work at Pitt can be found in her spare time gardening. 12
