XSSLMBLY I RQGRAMS On September 24th at 3 o clock Mr and Mrs Harry Mason showed us 3 specles of wrld l1fe Mrs Mason gave an excellent performance wlth her tralned monkeys She had a f1fteen year old baboon named Sally Anne and an eleven month old baby monkey named Frrtzle There were other monkeys too but these two were the maln attraction and to make rt even more lnterestlng the monkeys were dress ed llke real chlldren Mr Mason then showed us the varrous reptlles to be found ln thls country H told us many lnterestlng and amazrng facts about snakes He also showed us the the Glls Monster wh1ch 1S the only polsonous llzard 1n the world To end th1s excxtlng show Mrs Mason agaxn came on the stage th1s tlme w1th four doves She had trained them by 1nst1nct to do many lnterestxng trrcks cludlng bowlng when say1ng good bye Marle and Harry Mason are well skrlled as they have been ln thls work for more than 40 years iiliifiiii MUSICAL ROUNDUP OF 194 BC The excellent bar1tone volce of Mr J Ph1ll1ps Robertson resounded through Surprlse entrance and appeared dressed 1S a shepherd s costume He had many an clent mus1cal lnstruments whlch he explarned and played Some of the songs he sang rn Orlental languages as well as Engllsh Mr J Phllllps Robertson was sponsored by the Unlverslty of Mlnnesota He 1S a real student of music hav1ng won the scholarshlp of muslc at jullyard School ln New York ililiiiiil VERNON C WHITE Mr Vernon C Whlte addressed the students of jasper Hlgh Monday October 27 11 a m on the subject of alcohol He gave an excellent speech that was both 1nformat1ve and enterta1n1ng He was sponsored by the Natlonal Temperance Movement Inc wlth offlces 1D Chlcago Ill1n01s iiiiiiiili AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL Frlday December 12 Dr j Rxchard Olson appeared through the courtesy of the Un1vers1ty of Minnesota He showed p1ctures of some Of the famous natlonal parks 1n the1r natural color As the plctures were shown he talked about each one Dr Olson s speech and plctures were very 1nterest1ng and they helped everyone reallze that we have some truly beaut1ful scenery r1ght here 1n our own Unlted States 46 R W N 3!
