( Cckh “Pi My! My! What a joyful surprise I received today through the mail! A Round Robin letter from the class of 1952, gave me a grateful sensation, for I discovered the what and wherefore of the eighteen Seniors. Charles Amerson has been very successful as a lawyer. He is expecting an appointment to Washington, District of Columbia. His sweet little secretary, Rachel Hopewell, a graduate of Miami, has been with him all these years. It is not difficult to imagine Mary Ann Hodnett as Physical Education Director of Woman's College, Greensboro. North Carolina, for, after all, wasn't she the shining light of Jasper High School's Basketball Team-? I could hardly recoznize Milton McDaniel's picture (yes, he really sent us his likeness with the long beard and whiskers required of The House of David”.) Evidently he hasn’t forgotten his basketball playingl Cows, Cows, Cows - Can I never get away from the cows - writes dairyman Gerald Moore from the nationally - famous Maola Company. Jean Pate's paintings hang in the art gallery at Washington City. We knew Jean could do it all the time. Poor Lila Kornegay is aging fast, for she really does lead a busy life as a nurse at Walter Reed's Veterans Hospital. Craven County is really fortunate in having one of its'own boys, Carllpock, asCounty Agent. What a thrill to learn that J. Z. Kornegay is healing bodies and winning souls for Christ in the poverty - stricken areas of Indial Remember how Linda Parker used to enjoy primping in classl Today she is realizing the fulfillment of her dreams as operator of The Linda Beauty Parlor , New Haven, Connecticut. Wonder which is leading the harder life, Guy Hopewell, correcting his ten little ones or James Tripp, taking orders from his superior officer in the Navy. Ruth Adams at last settled down to one boy friend. She was having quite a lot of trouble keeping the girlish-figure she had back in high school. Alene Herring is a waitress and proprietor in the Eat and Run restaurant down the street. Alene's fried chicken seems to be quite popular, especially with the teen - agers. Who would have ever thought Patsy Duncan would be so happy as receptionist for Dr. Joe Allen Ipock, the world famous specialist for broken hearts. Wonder if he can fix his own? When we recall the A student of our class, Louie Tyndall, we rejoice that old Jasper Hiis fortunate enough to have him as its principal. Betty Sugg, the successful competitor in 4-H Club work, is now clothing specialist in the Extension Department of State College. As I wistfully finished reading my highly - prized letter from my classmates, I breathed a silent prayer of gratitude for the past and hope for the future. Prophet Betty Sugg
