Ruth Dennis Homer Morton JASPER CENTRAL SCHOOL JASPER, NEW YORK George L. Johnson IUPIIVIIINC YIINCIFAL Dear Members of the Class of l97O: I am pleased to have the opportunity of having a part in your yearbook. You have a theme which is appropriate and challenging: Ulf you have knowledge, let others light their candle at itu. It is a reflection of the idealism and a call to service that motivates many, especially the young. You graduate from high school in times that are changing and challenging. We believe that the great challenge facing your generation is to choose the best and finest ideals of the past and to build upon them construc- tively so that in time we can make into reality, what we say we believe. We believe that in dedicating a part of your time and lives to the service of others you will bring lasting satisfaction to yourselves. We hope you have enjoyed your years at Jasper Central School and that they have given you experience and knowledge to serve you as you go on to new fields. Cur sincere best wishes go with you. Sincl ely yours. 9 JCR, N. Lf'-ffm-x.2 George, . Joh on Princi al 4

DEDICATIO sine' '16-as if With this deication goes deepest gratitude and admiration to a teacher, who in his quiet way has showed us right from wrong and to have faith and confidence in ourselves above anything else. His constant advice and understanding has helped us to attain the very best of school and to prepare us, not only in science, but for the life outside. At this time, we would like to honor this man who can always face each day with a warm smile and an optimistic viewpoint on life. With sincere appreciation and due respect, we dedicate the 1970 Edition of Golden Glimpses to Mr. Howard Van Scoter. 3
