V . --3 5 Qlass Yfiisinrg ff f Soon in this outstanding year of 1954, We Seniors leave our beloved school to face the problems of each new t omorrow When our class entered the Freshman Year we had twenty four students At that time we allthought that we would have a large '54 graduating class In our Sophomore Year, however, we began to lose faith in having this large number Gradually, asfate would have it the class decreased to just eighteen After we started our Junior Year, we had the misfortune to lose three more of our fine classmates,leav1ng only fifteen the number presently graduating We Seniors are very proud of the successhllactlv ities record during those four years At one time, held a joint dance,thls one with the Freshmen Later came an ice cream social,bake sale and that bigegwrse Class dues During our Junior Year, we had a maglcshow a dance, sold magazines and presented our ar ualhilar lous Tunior Play Senior Year brought our statfonary sale annual dance, and then th t wonderful Sen1orHop late in April The school and corvunity looked trinner than ever when the bracelets and tie clasps befan to appear as the result of our sales campaign Lastfeature of our rear was the Senior Play 'n which our members proved their acting ability Now as we hear the lastof our days of high schooh it is with sincere displeasure that we must bring the 1954 Class History to an end and bid a final farewell J i' XXK X xf! On April 2 and 3 we presented our Junior Play, entitled ---- 'Feudin' Over Yonder,' a hillbilly comedy in three acts, telling the tale of a feud, which started over a simple hunting accident. Rosie Belle Fry fin the person of Sara Lee Foster! insistantupon keeping the feud alive always went around shotting popoffs- whddz caused quite a lot of trouble. Our last moneymaking project was also very successfulgand we feel that as a result of our fun and profits, this year has beena enjoyable me at J. C. S. We lost one of our classmates, Dave Earley, to the Marine Corps early in February. Best of luck to him! However, with the arrival ofGerald.Buck ley from Corning Northside, we returned to our regular number--15. Numerous other activities have added to the enjoyment of being Sopho - mores: and as this year comes to a close, we are looking forward to a very successfu1Jun1or Year and the ordering of our class rings. Assembly programs came next, and then that long awaited event-- the Spring Concert. Climax of the year came with the Memorial Day Parade, at which time many of the group were seen parading for the first time. All in all, it has been a 'musical' year--one which we feel has been both happy and successful. Q IQ K ....
