I J X X X 's X X 's s X X X I X NX XX 4 X A xx - X XX Um 524001 . i 3 ww' ',,4,..a-,., l E ACK 95 DEDICATION With the sincere hope that progress may not only be the theme of our yearbook but also a prophecy of our achievements in the field of life we dldlcate this ed1 tion of the WYel1ow Jacket' to the founders of Jasonville High School, on this, our 50th anniversary, to show them our appreciation for the opportunities they have given us in higher education ill iii FORVWARD On this 50th anniversary of the building of our school we pause to look backward and forward The rooms three rooms downstairs and three rooms upstairs In 1906 seven more rooms were added three downstairs, and four upstairs The gym was built in 1923 Through the years, there have been various improv ements made in all parts of the building This year we have added several improvements paint on most of the walls, eleven badly needed typewrlters, new fluorescent lights in most of the rooms, a sound proof music room with elevated platforms for the band, and a shop with cabinets and machinery This year, our class of 1953 purchased and paid for a new mimeograph and mimeoscope which are to be used to put our the school paper and any other printing Jobs to benefit the school and community The class of 1953 have been proud to have a part in those things that have been done this year As Seniors, we he hope that improvements can continue to be made and that sometime in the future we can look forward to a new school building OOD!! They had an assembly program October 31 and a membership of 29 under which everyone has enjoyed under priveleged children they also planned the act- ivities for the homecoming procession at the half of the football game and decorated the gym for the homecoming dance. A Christmas play was given December 24 named 'Dad Trims the Tree' and other short skits were given for assembly programs during the remainder of the year.
