Weekly sessions alternated between Fort Worth 's Texas Christian University and Hawkins' Jarvis. Students and teachers Uohn Paul Jones of Jarvis and Dr. Neil Daniel of TCUJ traveled together. The one advantage of this course, comments J. P. Goals of this academic-cultural-social college orientation program are to tap creativity of the youths, to increase their awareness of life and learning, and to help them accept responsibility, S CEAXVMQQ - 118 pre-freshmen participated in the summer 1968 Oper- M ation CRAM. Dr. Dean Corrigan, speak- ing on The Knowledge Explosion: Effects on Teaching and Learning, said: Computers will teach students how to read, but somehow teach- ers must give students w-isdom to decide what to read, at Faculty Work- shop, Jan. 29-31, 1969. Dr. Corrigan is an educa- tion specialist in the U,S, Department of Health- Education-Welfare, Dr. Fred Tarpley, East Texas State University lin- quist, discusses East Texas grammar patterns and idioms with members of the Jarvis English faculty.
