I gazed into the water and pic¬ tures began to form. Very distinctly I could see the Governor’s office and sitting at the desk typing was Barbara Jean Woodruff. The Gover¬ nor’s smile showed that he was well p leased with his typist. That pic¬ ture faded and in its place I could see a doctor’s waiting room. On the door was the name of a noted psychiatrist and working as a receptionist for him was Emma Ruth Emory. The doctor seemed proud of her work and said that her easy manner and soft voice reacted so favorably on his patients that three-fourths of the cure was accomplished before the patient got to him. Just then I hooked a big bass and had to wait for the water to get still again before I could see into the future. As it grew quiet again I could see High Hills Baptist Church with some new additions. There was Lillie Mae Allen going through the door. I could see her as she went straight to the Church office and sat down to work. She seemed to love her work even if it did keep her very busy. In the nex t picture I saw twin girls and a little boy out on a lawn. They were calling, “Mama”. Then I could see a house and at the door appeared Doris Burgess. The next scene was at Jarratt High School. The Commercial Teacher was Meade Feild Kientz. A boy (?) in the typing class looked familiar. Oh yes, that was W. C. Burgess. Next the scene shifted to New York City to the Police Headquarter s. Suddenly I realized the Chief was George Andre. One more picture came to me. In it I caught a glimpse of V. P. I. and there as an Instructor was Howard Proctor. By Bobby Burruss (juniors President Carlton Leonard Vice-President Lillie Mae Live say Secretary Edith Holloway Treasurer S. F.
