While public officials looked on The citizens who make up the Janesville School Board unselfishly give up their time, not only on the second Tuesday of each month when the regular meetings are held, but also when committees investigate special problems. At their meetings important decisions are made concerning grounds, the budget, purchasing, finance, recreation, and the employment of teachers and maintenance workers. At the present time the major issue is the new high school to be lo- cated on Randall Avenue. A new building has been needed for a number of years, but the wartime shortage of materials had curtailed making any plans for a new building. The people of our school board deserve much credit for the fine job they are doing to keep our schools running smoothly. Page 7
