Senior Class History OOKING back, we, the class of IQSO, remember our Hrst days at Jamestown High School-the rushing from one room to another, and the con- fusion that resulted. We are also re- minded of how eagerly we anticipated becoming members of this great student body. First on the agenda during our sopho- more year was the choosing of a capable set of leaders to start the class moving in the right direction. The following reached the top in the September elec- tion: President James Lyons Vice-President Milton Bergwall Secretary. . Sally Nelson Treasurer James King Keeper of Properties .Lyle Brown Historian Marilyn Lindquist Mr. Cudlipp was appointed advisor of the class. At this time we should like to express our gratitude to him for his faithfulness to our class. Every class has a motto, colors, and favorite flower. The motto, Benefit Yourself by Helping Othersf, was chosen and maroon and white were named as the class colors. The white rose proved to be the favorite flower of the class. On November 21, 1947, the Sopho- more Reception was held for the stu- dents and their parents. With these activities underway we Sophomores looked forward to doing more and better things in the future. Venturing back to school the fall of 1948, we had advanced from Sopho- mores to Juniors and thus found it necessary to elect a new slate of officers. The victors were: President Wayne Sparling Vice-President David Sandberg Secretary Norman Booth Treasurer George Vishnia Keeper of Properties Cherrill Castle At regular meetings. the ollicers and
