5-auf 'iv' W. The generous contributions by JC students to the World Student Service Funcl resulted in Jamestown College exceeding their thousancl-dollar goal by twenty- five percent. Chuck Norton and Shirley Peter were chairmen 45:3 S. S. F. of the campaign, and money was raised by several un- usual means-an auction sale in the chapel, the cen-a- minute late leaves for Watson girls, and various indi- vidual enterprises. The annual spaghetti feed, presented this year in western style, climaxed the campaign.

n SADIE I-IAWKINS For one whole week all the campus males sought refuge from would-be Daisy Maes-mes, Sadie Hawkins Day rolled around again, and a big party in the gym was the chief event of the week. , All the couples came in Dogpatch style, and prizes for Daisy Mae and Lill Abner themselves went to Dorthe Thompson and john Koehler. Mary Buchler portrayed the Wolf-Gal to the exclusion of any other prospective winners, and the best Dogpatch couple was Royann Indseth and Rollie Berkvam. Sponsored by the faculty, the party featured dancing in old fashioned barn dance style. Miss Nord- strom and Miss Ross from the Farmers' Union led in polkas, waltzes, schottisches, butterflies, and square dances, with Clair Ghylin, Buck George and Walter Schlecht furnishing the music. Entertainment was featured by the Y. W. C. A. members and the W. A. A. girls took care of decorating and cleaning up the gym. And now the men can come out of their hiding- places for another year until Sadie Hawkins comes around!
