Johnson, P. King. owawaevce It is whispered around that the Commerce Club is one of the most commercial clubs on the campus. And although rtunors are rife nowadays, it seems like a pretty sure thing. This year, Lena Pantleon led the thriving little band to victory. Only mishap of the year was an ugly story concerning the conviction of certain members for violating the interstate commerce laws when they were found smuggling a girl into Sanford. President Pantleon denied the truth of the stories, but there you are. Oflicers for the year, besides Miss P., were Lloyd Sheldon, vice-president, and Harlan Edson, secretary-treasurer. This select group goes in for the social angle too, and lo and behold if they don't turn up at parks, at Stuclcenbrucks', in fact any and all places suitable for the discussion of Commerce As A Social Asset. Anyway, what with troop transports and Jamestown's being right on the railroad and everything, the Commerce kids are looking forward to a prosperous year. 'TV 5 I . A , 9? Q? LL .. I

Cabinet, fb, make it their duty to pilot Freshmen through their scarifying year, fc, sponsor Rose Garden Formals, meditations, Heart Sister Week, hymn sings, Friendly Blazes and mixers, fdj join forces with the organization on the next page and sponsor Y hooks, coffee forums, Spiritual Emphasis Week and more lonely Freshmen, and who fe, devotedly follow 'Lucille Flesjer as president, Phyllis Travis as vice-president, and entrust their minutes to Florence Saude and their cash to Betty Hall. We could continue this list of sterling qualities almost indehnitely, but the W. hlushingly decline, and besides, the M. are waiting on the next page. SuHice it to say that these ladies have reached the highest place on the campus, the attic of Sanford, and there we leave them.
