Johnson, P. King. owawaevce It is whispered around that the Commerce Club is one of the most commercial clubs on the campus. And although rtunors are rife nowadays, it seems like a pretty sure thing. This year, Lena Pantleon led the thriving little band to victory. Only mishap of the year was an ugly story concerning the conviction of certain members for violating the interstate commerce laws when they were found smuggling a girl into Sanford. President Pantleon denied the truth of the stories, but there you are. Oflicers for the year, besides Miss P., were Lloyd Sheldon, vice-president, and Harlan Edson, secretary-treasurer. This select group goes in for the social angle too, and lo and behold if they don't turn up at parks, at Stuclcenbrucks', in fact any and all places suitable for the discussion of Commerce As A Social Asset. The Betasl Yes, the Queen of Sororities chose for officers during the first semester: Phyllis King, president, Margaret: McKenna, vice-presidentg Elizabeth Robertson, secretary, and Carol Condit, treasurer. And these darlings gave up their offices in the second semester to four others, respectively and respectfully. Writing about sororities is always hard, because you can't show any partiality, and you canlt stick your neck out.
