FOREWORD The span between our child's world and the adult's world looked very long when we started across it twelve years ago. As we moved through life, we found that each new experience and each bit of knowledge gained was a stepping stone leading to our future success. With the help and guidance of our teachers and administrators, we fought our shortcomings with fortitude and our weaknesses with faith. We have now arrived at our destination, that of being not only a senior, but also an adult citizen and leader. As we leave the halls of James Wood and venture into the vast world with its many problems, we look back with nostalgia on our high school days. These days can never be relived, yet the fond memories of them can be recaptured among the scenes where they were enacted and at the places that provided their back- ground. We see ourselves once again at the pool the day school let out - rushing through the stores on Christmas Eve - laughing and crying at the local movie theatre - chat- ting with our friends at the corner drug store and dancing to the latest records at the War Memorial Building. Throughout our 1961 yearbook, we, the senior class of '6l', hope to share with you the highpoints of our memories. We, therefore, present to you OUR COUNTY
