We, the senior class of 1961 have finally reached our long strived for goal. As we look back on our high school days, we realize that they have been made brighter and more worthwhile only through the unceasing efforts of our faculty. Each of us would like to thank them sincerely. Mr. Archie Manuel, we thank you for your untiring patience and guidance shown to each student. For the guidance and time Mrs. Rebecca Whitlock has so gladly given all of us, We are greatly indebted. IN APPRECIATIGN To Mr. Eugene Funkhouser goes our very special thanks for bringing our country's democratic government closer to our hearts and minds. And to Mrs. Mildred Saunders goes a very dear thanks for her patience, her continuous smile, and her faithful encouragement. With- out hier our high school days would have lacked much.

DEDICATION The summer night was hot and humid, the type of weather when even the dusk brought stifling heat. Inside the walls of James Wood High School the 1961 Woodbine Staff was hard at work. Mr. James Biddle stood before them helping, guiding, and teach- ing them the best and most correct methods for pro- ducing a memorable yearbook. :ig 4? 5' i a t ut s A a s . , V Q at We, the senior class of 1961, realize how much the Woodbine means to everyone and how without you, Mr. james Biddle, there would be no Woodbine. Therefore, we wish to thank you and show our deep appreci- ation for the many nights and days you have given us so freely, for the burdens you have shouldered, and the many students you have helped by dedicating this, our 1961 Wood- bine to you. .2
